Hey guess what! It turns out that, funnily enough, I did NOT reach my 2010 goal of posting 50 posts that year. Almost. Almost. Of course, it was probably because I grew steadily more obsessed with Homestuck and then with Harry Potter fanfiction. No, I'm not ashamed. I did watch HP and the Deathly Hallows part 1, and to be honest I was amazed that I actually liked it at all. I am avidly expecting part 2. Anyways, I doubt I'll really be writing all that much after this - really, I actually forgot it, instead of just procrastinating like last year. Later.

Midnight Ramblings

Yay for rambling on when no one knows what you're talking about!! x) Although I actually only thought of the subjects for my next post yesterday at midnight. And it's actually only 11:51 here. But anyways. Let's just jump into the first one: I've noticed that I think best when I'm 'drifting'. When it's hard to tell quite what time it is; when you know there's still time until you have to get out of bed, or get wherever you're going, or something. To clarify: I think best in the early hours of the morning and in the late hours at night, as well as in the shower and on road trips. Odd, huh? I like to think of it - especially if we're on a road trip - in a way that specifies that when we're going someplace, we're not really anywhere at all, not that I can see. Just drifting.

Yeah.. Hope that didn't confuse you too much. On to the second subject: Do you ever wish that a certain story was true? (and I ain't talking about Twilight, so anyone who drools over vampires in their sleep, get out.) I know I used to wish stories were true all the time ; I remember being quite disappointed when I turned 11, and then 12, and never got invited to Hogwarts. All the same, sometimes the settings in stories seem a lot better compared to our mundane lives - even if you wouldn't get to be like, an adventurer, or anything. I mean, technology is great and all, but if we could have magic instead..

*shakes head* Look at this. I'm really a nonreligious person, and Order Of The Stick has got me thinking about magic. Although I suppose that wouldn't be too strange.. and if..

Yeah, I'm gonna go sleep now. I might post some actual relevant stuff tomorrow.

Dream - Star Wars/Harry Potter

I had a dream last night where I was talking to my friend about Star Wars and Harry Potter. It was mainly ordinary (and completely expected since I've been reading/watching a lot of SW and HP for the past 2 weeks) but there were some things we talked about that didn't actually happen... for instance, Harry Potter could turn into a mermaid in the fourth book. o-o

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince.

I just saw the sixth HP movie. It's pretty dark and gloomy, except for all the romance. And of course I always have objections to all the movies from the 4th on up (I mean really; in the fourth one Harry didn't give his money to Fred and George), but really. The whole scene where Bellatrix burns down the Weasley's house was never in there. In the book, there was also some parts about the battle between some lesser Death Eaters, some students, and some teachers...in the movie it concentrated on Dumbledore.

They also neglected the part at the very end, at the funeral, I believe, where Harry goes to Ginny and tells her, "We can't be together anymore. It's too dangerous for you." or something like that. It was quite noble, but that was completely left out. I kept anticipating it, especially at the scene where Harry is kneeling by Dumbledore's body, and Ginny is comforting him.

But then again, I didn't expect the movie to be great; there were many things I disliked about the 4th and 5th movies as well. Perhaps I'm too cynical about these things.

Well, at least I didn't make the mistake of reading the book right before the movie. I would've gone nuts. xD

Although now I have the urge to read some HP...the seventh book, perhaps? Yes, I think so. I will go read it in my brand new plush chair; I'm very proud of it. (For those wondering, it's lavender with aqua buttons. It came with two aqua pillows with you guessed it, lavender buttons.)

Done blogging for today, I think, unless I somehow finish re-reading the seventh book and sneak back onto the computer. I'm a pretty fast reader, but it's already 11:26 here; I don't anticipate finishing it by any means.
